My experience with Bikram Yoga has been a magical one. I started
the yoga in 2003. After my very first class, I knew that
there was something special about this practice and I wondered
how I could become a teacher. The intense sweating and
challenge of the postures kept me coming back for more.
The effects of the yoga were immediate for me. I felt them
on all levels: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
In 2004, my sister was diagnosed with a severe
brain tumor and it was then that I decided that I needed
to do Bikram Yoga Teacher Training. I had heard the remarkable
stories of healing through Bikram Yoga and I felt that by
teaching my sister yoga, I could help her recover from intense
radiotherapy and chemotherapy. I also wanted a deeper knowledge
of the yoga and its benefits that had helped so many people
already. I attended the Training in summer 2004 in Los Angeles
for the duration of nine weeks and it was one of the most
incredible experiences of my life. I take great honor in
sharing and teaching this wonderful practice. I encourage
anyone and everyone to try Bikram Yoga at least once in their
lifetime. Namaste'.
